Caroline’s journey into television and film production began through her son, Marcus, when he chose to pursue a career in acting. Inspired by the industry and fascinated by the creative process, she decided to forge her own path in film production.

Starting in an entry-level role gave Caroline valuable hands-on experience and a strong understanding of the business side of the industry. Most recently, she has had the opportunity to work in the Locations Department alongside a talented and supportive team whose encouragement inspired her to finally put pen to paper and write the horror screenplay she had always envisioned.

Now stepping into the role of Writer/Producer, Caroline is excited to bring her creative vision to life and looks forward to the next chapter of her filmmaking journey.

Ken Shapkin is the founder of Kadence Productions (est. 2016), a company dedicated to creating high-impact, character-driven films and championing Canadian stories for global audiences. A graduate of the New York Film Academy (NYFA), Ken brings both strategic vision and financial leadership to the company’s development slate.

His producing credits include The Fast Runner, Kiri and the Girl, and Victoria’s Original Joint: Maze of Life. With a focus on projects that offer both creative integrity and strong commercial appeal, Ken is committed to developing genre-spanning films that resonate with audiences worldwide.

He is known for crafting genre-driven stories that fuse cinematic spectacle with emotionally grounded characters. His award-winning short films and contributions to multiple feature productions showcase his signature approach: character-centered narratives elevated by striking, atmospheric visual style.

Trevor’s work has been recognized at festivals and within the international film community for its suspense, tension, and strong visual world-building. Dedicated to his craft, he continues to develop original projects while collaborating with creative teams to bring compelling, high-impact stories to the screen.

Writer/Consultant/Educator

Michael Adams has been screenwriting for over 30 years, dedicating his career to mastering story structure and the art and craft of film and television production.

His production experience spans more than 150 film and television projects as a camera assistant, where working at the creative center of productions provided invaluable insight into how scripts evolve into living characters on screen.

As a screenwriter, Michael has written over 40 feature film scripts along with numerous television pilots, series bibles, short films, and documentaries. His produced work includes the award-winning feature film Reach for Me, directed by LeVar Burton, as well as the award-winning short films Bombshell, depicting the final hours of Marilyn Monroe’s life, and The Fast Runner, a powerful story of grace during history’s darkest hour.

Michael is currently a working screenwriter, story consultant, and educator. His two years in China as Senior Writing Instructor at Shanghai Vancouver Film School inspired him to develop a universal system of story structure that translates across cultures. His latest seminar series, Story Courage, is based on that work.
